  Auction History Result #3784 KINGS OF OLYMPICS 3 8x10s48 Jesse Owens Date Sold 10/14/2003Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 3 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Stills (Learn More) Kings of the Olympics, the 1948 Olympic sports documentary ("A gigantic parade of sport thrills"; "Shot by 600 Cameramen"; "The greatest thrills ever caught on film"; "See for the first time anywhere the track and field champions, the swimming and diving winners, the great victories of crew and boating."; "See America's greatest athletes triumph in the greatest sport spectacle in history - the Olympic Games!") featuring Jesse Owens, Earle Meadows, Glenn Cunningham, Jack Lovelock, "and a host of others!". Note that much of the footage from this movie was oddly taken from "Olympia", Leni Reifenstahl's Nazi documentary about the Olympics! But primarily only footage of American athletes was used, and the German athletes are presented in a negative light! Condition: good. We are selling thousands of stills this week, and we can't give detailed descriptions of every one. However, we have linked the small image below to a much larger image that should allow you to get an excellent idea of the still(s) defects (if any). Please realize that these are original vintage stills (most many decades old), and they will have defects typical of decades old photos.
