An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 46 1/4" x 62 1/4" [117 x 158 cm]) (Learn More) Devil's Doorway, the 1950 Anthony Mann Native American Indian cowboy western ("MGM presents a Great Drama of Flaming Frontiers!"; "Written by Guy Trosper") starring Robert Taylor (as the Native American Indian who won a medal of honor fighting at Gettysburg, but then returned to his home to try to live a peaceful life), Louis Calhern, Paula Raymond, Marshall Thompson, James Mitchell, and Edgar Buchanan NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Roger Soubie Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on many parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was backed onto a thin linen, with restoration of the above defects. At some point after backing, it was diagonally creased across the lower center (there are two creases close together), and it was also roughly handled, causing creases around the edges and some diagonal creases in the bottom right corner.
