An Original 1977 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Theatrical Folded Italian Two-Panel (known in Italy as a "4 Fogli") Movie Poster (2p; measures 55" x 78" [140 x 198 cm]) (Learn More) Who's That Knocking At My Door, the 1969 Martin Scorsese romantic melodrama starring Harvey Keitel (in his first credited role), Zina Bethune, Philip Carlson, Anne Collette, and Lennard Kuras. Note that this film began in 1965 as a student short film called Bring on the Dancing Girls. In 1967, the romance plot with Zina Bethune was added and spliced into the earlier film, and the title was changed to I Call First. The film was shown at the Chicago International Film Festival in November 1967 but did not receive a theatrical release. In 1968, Joseph Brenner offered to distribute it on the condition that a sex scene be added so it could be marketed as a sexploitation movie. Scorsese shot and edited a montage of Keitel's character fantasizing about prostitutes, and the film was released theatrically under the final title of Who's That Knocking at My Door in 1969.
