The Evil"; "'I heard her first feeble movements in the coffin... We had put her Living in the tomb!' - Poe"; "For hundreds of years foul thoughts and deeds have been committed within these walls."; "This thing which was once the lovely Madeline, rose from the tomb with the terrible madness of the Ushers."; "You must leave this evil house - I will soon die and my coffin awaits me in the crypt."; "When the Ushers die, the walls of this house will split asunder and I shall perish with it."; "Mystery... Artist: Reynold Brown Important Added Info: Note that this poster was stamped "DOMESTIC" which means it was printed for use within the United States (there would also have been posters stamped "FOREIGN" for use outside the United States). Condition: good. There is a small area of paper loss in the bottom center of the image (near the top of the girl's legs), and someone put a piece of paper tape on the back of that area. There are some pinholes and faint brown stains in the borders. There was a V-shaped razor cut in the black background at bottom left, extending into the "r" of "her" in the tagline, but there is no paper loss and there are two pieces of paper tape on the back of those cuts. There is a "letter" on the back of the bottom right corner of the poster that explains that this poster (and another unnamed one) is being sent in place of "Creature and Them", which are "impossible to obtain". It is written in grease pencil and does not affect the front (it seems likely that it was written to someone who had ordered "Creature" and "Them" from a poster exchange, and received this poster and another instead as "alternates"!).
