An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Waterloo Bridge, the 1940 Mervyn LeRoy World War II (WWII) military romantic tearjerker melodrama ("'Can't you see the truth? Don't make me tell you what I've been!'"; based on the play by Robert E. Sherwood; about a World War I soldier whose sweetheart descends into a wretched life after she hears he was killed in the war, but he wasn't killed, and he finds her years later) starring Vivien Leigh ("Vivien Leigh's first role since 'Gone with the Wind'!"), Robert Taylor, Lucile Watson, Virginia Field, Maria Ouspenskaya, and C. Aubrey Smith. Note that there was an earlier version of this movie under the same title made in 1931 by James Whale, starring Mae Clarke, with Bette Davis in a small role.

Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned several first release lobby cards from this movie, but we have only auctioned one example of this scene card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. A thin sliver of the top blank border was trimmed off. There are pinholes, stains, smudges, and a few tiny tears around the edges, with a faint stain in Taylor's collar and neck, as well as a tiny one in the end of his sleeve. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
