Explorers, the 1985 Joe Dante science fiction (sci-fi) teen fantasy adventure thriller ("The adventure begins in your own back yard."; "You don't need a driver's license to reach the stars."; "From Joe Dante, director of 'Gremlins'"; "The stuff that dreams are made of."; "Everybody needs a helping hand when they're lost in space.") starring Ethan Hawke (in his first credited movie role!), River Phoenix, Jason Presson, Bobby Fite, and Amanda Peterson. Note that U.S. international posters for this film go to the trouble of highlighting the credit of Special Makeup Effects artist Rob Bottin, but they incorrectly spell his name as "Bob Bottin"!
