An Autographed REPRODUCTION 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Photo (Learn More) Steve Reeves was a bodybuilder and actor in many Italian sword & sandal movies from the 1950s to 1960s. Between 1946 and 1950, he won many bodybuilding competitions (and his results were achieved BEFORE steroids!), culminating with the title of Mr. Universe in 1950. He was the first of the American actors to go to Italy, when he played the starring role in Hercules in 1959, which led to hundreds of similar movies starring Reeves and many other Americans. Some of his other movies include: Duel of the Titans, Morgan the Pirate, The Last Days of Pompeii, and Hercules Unchained. He passed away in 2000 at the age of 74. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION photo has been personally autographed (signed) by Steve Reeves! Our consignor met Mr. Reeves in person at a collectors show in Hollywood in the 1990s and acquired it in person. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
