An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded East German Movie Poster (measures 16" x 20 1/4") (Learn More)

Ivan Groznyj I (released in the U.S. in 1947 as "Ivan the Terrible Part One", as "Eisenstein's Ivan the Terrible", and as "Ivan the Terrible"), the 1944 Sergei M. Eisenstein Russian historical biographical war melodrama (reportedly, Eisenstein made this movie specifically because Josef Stalin wanted it made!) starring Nikolai Cherkasov (in the title role as Czar Ivan IV), Lyudmila Tselikovskaya, Serafima Birman, Mikhail Nazvanov, and Mikhail Zharov, with a wonderful musical score by Serge Prokofiev!

Important Added Info: This East German poster measures 16" x 20 1/4" and is folded.

Condition: good. 2 1/2" tear in the upper and lower left edge as well as some 1" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster (mostly in the left edge); small area of paper loss in the upper left edge of the poster (see the image below); minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the poster (more so around the edges)
