An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Shemp Howard was an actor from the 1930s to the 1950s. He was an original member of The Three Stooges (together with this brother Moe Howard and Larry Fine) in vaudeville and in their first film, Soup to Nuts, but left the act and was replaced by his brother Curly; a decade later, after Shemp had appeared in many films solo, Curly became ill, and Shemp re-joined the Three Stooges and appeared in many of their films. Shemp passed away in 1955 at the age of 60. Important Added Info: Note that this candid shows Shemp Howard getting his hair cut at the Universal Studios barber shop.
