When a guy who can't get away with murder meets a girls who does!"; "Every scene crackles with Garfield excitement!"; loosely based on the book by Lewis E. Lawes, who was the real-life warden of Sing Sing Prison; it had earlier been made in 1932 as "20,000 Years in Sing Sing", and that was the working title for this movie until it was changed at the last minute) starring John Garfield, Ann Sheridan, Pat O'Brien, Burgess Meredith, Henry O'Neill, Jerome Cowan, Guinn 'Big Boy' Williams, John Litel, and Barbara Pepper NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss scattered in the vertical foldline, with a lesser amount of wear on the horizontal folds. It had some red marks in the "S" of "CASTLE" in the title. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
