An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Cornel Wilde (born Kornel Lajos Weisz) was a Hungarian (in what is now Slovakia) actor from the 1930s to the 1980s. Some of his movies include: Song To Remember (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), High Sierra, The Big Combo, and the Naked Prey. He was first married to actress Patricia Knight, and they divorced after 14 years of marriage. He immediately married actress Jean Wallace, and they also divorced, 31 years later! He passed away in 1989 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Cornel Wilde! Our consignor purchased a collection of autographed stills that were collected by Leonard Sorgi, who was a unit manager for ABC for shows like The Soupy Sales Show, The Jerry Mahony Show, and many others. He was also Unit Manager for the Academy Awards for a number of years, and during his long and varied career, he met many celebrities and obtained autographs from them in person (often personalized to him). Our consignor (and we) feel certain that the autograph on this still is authentic! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
