An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Busman's Honeymoon (released in the U.S. as "Haunted Honeymoon"), the 1940 Arthur B. Woods English romantic wedding marriage newlywed ghost horror murder mystery crime thriller ("Mystery Thrills in a Love Nest!"; based on the series by Dorothy Sayers) starring Robert Montgomery (as Lord Peter Wimsey), Constance Cummings, Leslie Banks, Seymour Hicks (billed as "Sir Seymour Hicks"), Robert Newton, and Roy Emerton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had rough creases and a few small tears along the foldlines and small paper loss at the crossfold. There were tears, creases, smudges, and small areas of paper loss in the blank borders. The poster had missing pieces and tears in the blank borders, and the person who did the restoration put new blank white paper over all the borders to even out the appearance (but the small writing at the bottom of the poster was not covered over).
