His Big Band was called "Horace Heidt and His Musical Knights". Heidt's theme song was "I'll Love You in My Dreams" (which he co-wrote). His biggest hit was "Deep in the Heart of Texas". Some of his other hits include: I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire, This Can't Be Love, Gone With the Wind, and Stars and Stripes Forever. He passed away in 1986 at the age of 85.
