She became a major brunette sex symbol in the mid 1950s, and has stayed in the public limelight ever since, including having five husbands (although she is still married to her fifth husband, and has been for the past 17 years). Some of her movies include: Island in the Sun, Rally 'Round the Flag Boys!, and Seven Thieves. Her sister Jackie Collins was a writer of popular "trashy" novels based on the lives of the rich and famous! As of 2021, Joan is still alive at the age of 88! Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Joan Collins! This was purchased from the estate of longtime collector Garth Geary, who attended many collectibles shows and surely obtained this in person. Our consignor does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signature is authentic. Also note that this still is a key book still, printed on a deluxe heavyweight paper stock. Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had an extra 1" at the left or top, with punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
