A Woman - Trying to escape her future!" "'Don't try to get rid of me for another woman... ...it won't work!"'; based on the novel 'Build My Gallows High' by Daniel Mainwaring; a great story of a private investigator who is hired by a gangster to find his missing mistress, and he does so, but then he falls for her, and starts a romance with her, even though he knows he is likely signing his death warrant) starring Robert Mitchum, Jane Greer, Kirk Douglas (in his third movie role!), Rhonda Fleming, Richard Webb, Steve Brodie, Dickie Moore, Virginia Huston, Paul Valentine, and Ken Niles NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. We have never auctioned one from this 1953 re-release in all our years of auctioning! Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It has a few scuffs in the art of Greer's clothing (to the right of the gun) otherwise the very rare poster is in excellent condition!
