If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare poster that we have only auctioned four times, once in 2017, and the other three times were 20 or more years ago! Likely the rarity of the poster is because the movie not only had a 1950 re-release, but also a 1950s military re-release, and those two quick re-releases likely caused the original paper to be used up or destroyed. The one we auctioned in 2017 had quite a bit of restoration and it was pretty noticeable. This example is in much better condition than the one we auctioned in 2017 and displays nicely (see below for a complete condition description). What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top two crossfolds and tiny paper loss at the bottom crossfold. It had some small creases and very tiny staple holes near to the folds. It had pinholes and staple holes around the edges, including some small paper loss near the pinholes, caused by rough removal of the pins. It had a thin strip of paper loss in the monster's cheek and chin, just to the right of his mouth. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. It was well backed, and displays well, but you can see slight signs of the restoration when you look at it really closely! Learn More about condition grades
