Note that posters for this company feature information and detailed art of the many types of seed that were available. The company was founded by Arnost Bahlsen and operated from 1878 to 1949. The company ceased to exist as a result of the 1948 Czechoslovak coup d'etat in which the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, with Soviet backing, assumed undisputed control over the government of Czechoslovakia. Condition: good to very good. The poster has a thin metal rail along the upper and lower edge to assist with hanging. Minor portions of the edges at left have separated from the railing and it has minor creases and tiny tears along portions of some edges. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
