An Original Vintage Theatrical Canadian Movie Campaign Book (measures 11" x 12" [28 x 30 cm]; 28 pages) (Learn More) Esquire Films 1942-43, the 1942 Canadian campaign book which was sent to theater owners to encourage them to show Esquire Films movies. Apparently, Esquire Films was a Canadian company set up in 1942 to distribute English movies, and it may have only lasted this one year, because we have never heard of it otherwise. The book includes many pages with images and information on upcoming English movies (many of them great propaganda movies made during World War II!) such as Scorched Earth, Trouble Brewing, We Dive At Dawn. The Big Blockade, One of Our Aircraft is Missing, Moscow Strikes Back, and many more! In addition, there are Russian movies released through their Artkino branch, such as "Siege of Leningrad" and "In the Rear of the Enemy". Note that the pages of this campaign book are die-cut, in the shape of the "3" at the right end of all pages. Condition: fair. One-half of one interior page was cut out, which affects two half-page ads (not pictured). The first interior glassine sheet and the first interior regular page have come loose from the spiral binding. The other pages have some minor wear around the edges.
