An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Emma, the 1932 Clarence Brown maid-marries-rich-widower family relationship romantic comedy melodrama (about a heroic turn of the century maid who works for a rich family and after the wife dies, the husband marries her, but the man's children protest her inheriting his wealth, and she renounces it and resumes working as a maid!) starring Marie Dressler (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Emma), Richard Cromwell, Jean Hersholt, Myrna Loy, and John Miljan. Note that I have never seen this movie, but it is said that Marie Dressler gives her finest performance here, but she had already won an Academy Award the previous year, so the Academy gave the 1932 award to another wonderful actress, Helen Hayes! Artist: John Held Jr. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images).
