Note that Rufe Davis was a guitar player and hillbilly comedian from the Midwest, who showed up in Hollywood in 1936 and was cast in several Warner Bros. musical shorts, including this one, doing sound effects, animal imitations, and silly jokes. He proved quite popular, and after appearing in a number of mainstream movies, he found success as the comedy sidekick to the western Three Mesquiteers. Decades later, he had one last memorable role as Floyd, the fireman and conductor on TV's Petticoat Junction! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
