An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Presskit (measures approximately 9" x 11 1/2"; contains 10 supplements and 23 stills) (Learn More) Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs, the classic 1971 (released in the U.S. in 1972) Sam Peckinpah English/U.S. ultra violent rape revenge crime thriller ("Special Notice : 'Straw Dogs' unleashes such dramatic intensity that this theatre is scheduling a 5-minute interval between all performances"; "The knock at the door meant the birth of a man and the death of seven others."; based on the novel 'The Siege of Trencher's Farm' by Gordon M. Williams) starring Dustin Hoffman, Susan George ("as Amy"), Del Henney, Peter Vaughan, and T.P. McKenna. Note that this movie was VERY controversial when it first came out. Many felt that it glorified violence and that it pretty overtly implied that a man isn't a "real man" until he kills a few people! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have taken a picture of the cover of the presskit and four of the stills (less than four if the presskit has less than four stills, of course). We have noted if the presskit contains any supplements, but we do not picture them. All of the presskits are sealed and ready to be sent, and we cannot answer any questions about the contents, especially about what any stills we may have not pictured show. REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE TOP OF THIS AUCTION TO SEE HOW MANY STILLS ARE INCLUDED WITH THIS PRESSKIT, BECAUSE WE NEVER PICTURE MORE THAN FOUR OF THEM (and we pretty much picked four stills at random). Condition: very good to fine. Note that the vast majority of the presskits we are auctioning this week were carefully stored away for many years, and the stills are usually in really excellent condition. Sometimes the folder that contains the stills has some wear on it, and you should be able to see that in our super-sized image.
