He was nominated administrator of the Comedie-Francaise in July 1944 (although he wouldn't occupy the position). Some of his movies include: Les Fourberies de Scapin by Moliere, The Marriage of Figaro, and The Brothers Karamazov. He passed away in 1976 at the age of 79.
