An Original Vintage Autographed Deluxe 10" x 12 3/4" [25 x 32 cm] News Photo (Learn More) George Murphy was an Irish actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. Some of his movie include: Battleground, Broadway Melody of 1940, Bataan, and For Me and My Gal. In the 1960s, he turned to politics, and in 1964, was elected Senator of California. He passed away in 1992 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that this news photo has been personally autographed (signed) by George Murphy! Also note that this news photo has been trimmed and it now measures 10" x 12 3/4" [25 x 32 cm]. Finally, note that this is a deluxe photo printed on double weight paper stock. Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who regularly attended the Chiller collectible show. This signed item (and the others offered from this collector) were purchased at a Chiller convention over the years. In some cases, he had them signed by the celebrity when they appeared in person at the show, and in other cases, he purchased them from Kevin Clement, who runs the Chiller shows, and in all cases, he (and we) believe this signature is authentic.
