Howard World War I (WWI) romantic love triangle prisoner-of-war (POW) crime melodrama ("From the novel 'Axelle' by Pierre Benoit") starring Warner Baxter, Leila Hyams, C. Aubrey Smith, Ralph Bellamy, Alexander Kirkland, William Pawley, and Howard Phillips. Note that this was Ralph Bellamy's fourth movie, and first major role. As usual, he did not play the lead, and in this movie, he literally played "the heavy" (it looks like he gained weight for the part!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good. Someone once started to try to fold the poster across the middle and then thought better of it, but there are some creases in that area. There is a C-shaped tear in Baxter's nose that was repaired with tape from the back. There is a 1" tear in the lower left border and a 4" tear in the lower right border, and both of those have tape on the back. There is tape on the front of the top corners and the bottom left corner and paper loss in the bottom right blank corner where tape was roughly removed. There are some creases and scuffs scattered in the image, more so in the bottom right corner. Learn More about condition grades
