An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 5 1/4" x 7" [13 x 18 cm]; 40 pages) (Learn More) Columbia Pictures 1928 - 1929, the 1928 Columbia Pictures campaign book, sent to theater owners to encourage them to show Columbia movies. The book includes 40 pages with mostly one-page spreads on Columbia's upcoming movies. Note that this was a small 5" x 7" version of this campaign book (we know that Columbia also made a full sized version of this, which measured 11 1/4" x 14 1/2", and that version has full-color ads instead). It has "The Perfect 36" on the cover and inside are several fold-out pages, each of which have many individual ads on them when they are unfolded (all are single-sided). When you fold out all the ads, you have seen all 36 movies advertised, and we have photographed all of the interior pages and the cover. If anyone knows more about this campaign book and whether there was a full sized version, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this campaign book, and that was 9 years ago! Condition: good. Someone once partially folded the book several different ways, and there are some creases on the cover, but they are much more noticeable in our image than they are in person. There is small paper loss on the back cover that affects the image and text. Some of the pages have separated from the rest of the book, but otherwise, the book is in pretty nice condition, with just minor wear around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
