Sylvan Simon south-of-the-border romantic musical screwball comedy ("The Daffy-Dilly Jubilee of Mirth and Music!"; "Special Material by John Grant"; about not very bright entertainers at a Mexican resort, and they meet Nazi agents who try to trick them into smuggling contraband into the U.S.) starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Kathryn Grayson (in the title role as Rita Winslow), John Carroll, Patricia Dane, Tom Conway, Peter Whitney, Eros Volusia (a sexy Brazilian dancer; as herself), and Joan Valerie. Note that the contract that Abbott & Costello had signed with Universal allowed them to make one movie a year at a different studio, and this movie was made with MGM (they made two other MGM movies in 1944 and 1945).
