An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Herald (measures 5 3/4" x 8 3/4" [15 x 22 cm]; 4 pages) (Learn More)

Baby, Take a Bow, the 1934 Harry Lachman juvenile family Depression Era reformed-criminal-with-family-goes-straight musical comedy ("'Come on in... Let's have some fun!'"; "America's newest rave... singing, dancing, laughing") starring Shirley Temple (in her first top billed role, one of the first of her many very successful movies, all with a similar theme!; "The biggest little star in pictures"), James Dunn, Claire Trevor, Alan Dinehart, Ray Walker, and Dorothy Libaire. Note that Shirley Temple had appeared in several shorts and in a few features before this, and the public loved her, and she was given top billing in this movie, and it is easy to see why when you watch the movie! The movie concerns Dunn, who is a reformed criminal who wants to go straight and live with his pretty wife and baby daughter, but a gangster from his past and a detective who doesn't believe he is reformed make it hard for him to do so. But the movie comes to life whenever Temple is on the screen!

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this herald!

Note that this is from a wonderful collection of heralds we were consigned. We auctioned the first 30 from this collection (the very best ones) in our April 2024 Major Auction. We will auction more from this collection every four weeks until they are all sold, and this time there are 42 different ones (all are in separate auctions), and they include many that we have either never before auctioned or only auctioned once or twice before.. The collection only included one of each herald, so on the rare ones, it may be quite some time before we offer the same title again!

Condition: very good.
