An Original Vintage Theatrical Minstrel Show Poster (measures 20" x 28") (Learn More)

Hilson's Famous Minstrels, the circa 1900s traveling blackface minstrel music show poster ("Hilson's Famous Minstrels") advertising the travelling minstrel show. Note that we have been unable to find any additional information about Hilson or his famous minstrels. If anyone knows more about either of these or this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been mounted onto a heavy board backing (see below).

Condition: very good. The poster was mounted to a heavy backing board (it was likely dry-mounted). Either before or after it was mounted, the poster received water staining in the bottom corners and some smudges and faint stains around the edges, but otherwise, the poster is in pretty nice condition. We have no idea how easy or difficult it would be to remove the poster from the backing board, but we would certainly think the poster could be framed and displayed exactly as it is.
