An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 10" x 29 1/2" [25 x 75 cm]) (Learn More)

Henry Aldrich Swings It, the 1943 Hugh Bennett romantic musical comedy (one of the series of popular movies based on the Clifford Goldsmith "Henry Aldrich" stories) starring Jimmy Lydon (in the title role "as Henry Aldrich"), Charles Smith, John Litel, Olive Blakeney, Mimi Chandler, and Vaughan Glaser

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare daybill. We have only auctioned one in all our years of auctioning in 2015 and now that very same daybill has been reconsigned to us for this auction, so it is still the only example we have ever auctioned! Also note that for a brief time during World War II (WWII) Australia printed their daybills in a ~10" x 30" format (no doubt to conserve on paper, because they had been printing daybills in a 15" x 40" size, and by going to 10" x 30", they were able to print four daybills with the same amount of paper they used to print two!).

Condition: good. The poster had tiny paper loss down the left side, but it did not affect the image. It had a few small stains scattered throughout. Someone glued the entire poster to a white paper backing, no doubt to conserve it, but no restoration was performed.
