An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Samson Raphaelson was a famous playwright and screenwriter from 1925 to 1965. He wrote the original play that the movie "The Jazz Singer" (the first talking picture) was based on, and he was responsible for the screenplays of some of the best loved romantic comedies of all time, including: Heaven Can Wait, Trouble in Paradise, The Shop Around the Corner, and many others! He passed away in 1983 at the age of 89. Important Added Info: Note that Raphaelson's name is printed as "Sam Raphaelson" in the bottom left of the still (we have never seen this before!). Condition: very good. The still has slightly darkened and there is a diagonal crease in the lower left corner, as well as a few small creases across the top border (mostly only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light).
