Berke adventure thriller ("Masked enemies ambush Army in Johnny's jungle!"; "Johnny drives America's enemies out of jungle frontier!"; "Based upon the famous Jungle Jim King Features Syndicate newspaper feature") starring Johnny Weissmuller ("as Jungle Jim"), Ann Savage, David Bruce, Steven Geray, Jean Byron, James Seay, Jeanne Dean, and Steve Calvert (as the man in the gorilla suit!). Note that in 1948, Steve Calvert bought Ray 'Crash' Corrigan's gorilla costume, which Corrigan had been using in movies since at least 1932. He appeared in 12 movies between 1948 and 1958 as a gorilla wearing Corrigan's costume! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Glenn Cravath Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back of the poster). Condition: good. There are some smudges and stains scattered throughout the poster. There are creases scattered throughout the poster (more so along the foldlines and edges) and there are tack holes and areas of tattering along the foldlines and around the edges of the poster (some repaired with masking tape from the back).
