An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Claire Luce was an actress from the 1920s to the 1950s. Some of her movies include: Up The River, Under Secret Orders, and Lazybones. Note that this actress has often been confused with the famous writer and politician, Clare Booth Luce, who was Clare Booth until 1935 when she married Henry Luce, publisher of many magazines including Time, and she then became Clare Booth Luce, but due to confusion with this actress, Claire Luce, she used Clare Booth as her name during the years when both were active! Although their first names were spelled differently, both women were born just months apart in New York in 1903, which certainly added to the confusion! Luce passed away in 1989 at the age of 85. Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful still shows Miss Luce being taught how to ride an ostrich in the Follies in New York. Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Condition: good. There are tears and tiny paper loss around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
