An Unfolded Art Exhibition Poster (measures 24" x 32" [61 x 81 cm]) (Learn More)

Motion Picture Arts Gallery, the circa 1990s art exhibition poster created to advertise the gallery in Manhattan. It was designed by Gary Beeber Graphics, and it uses the artwork from the first release Austrian poster from Das Tagebuch einer Verlorenen (released in the U.S. as "Diary of a Lost Girl"), the classic 1929 G.W. Pabst (Georg Wilhelm Pabst) German romantic tragedy melodrama starring Louise Brooks, Josef Rovensky, Andre Roanne, Fritz Rasp, Vera Pawlowa, and Franziska Kinz. The reason this artwork was used on this poster was both because gallery owner Ira Resnick loves Louise Brooks, and also because the poster was for sale in their gallery. After this poster was created, the Brooks poster was sold, and the gallery moved to New Jersey, so this poster became outdated for two reasons. We do not know how many of these posters were created. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
