Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (measures approximately 15" x 40") (Learn More) Loyal Lives, the 1923 Charles Giblyn silent crime melodrama ("Smashing, Crashing, Melodrama of the Postal Service") starring Mickey Bennett, Brandon Pynan, Mary Carr, William Collier Jr., and Faire Binney. Note that Mary Carr became a major star in the mid 1910s around the age of 40, playing the parts of saintly mothers. She continued to make movies (switching to grandmother roles) through the mid 1930s, and then continued with mostly uncredited parts until the mid 1950s. She passed away in 1973 at the age of 99! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster was folded originally. But it has been laying completely flat for many many years, and we strongly advise letting us send it in a tube, rather than folding it! Condition: good. there are tiny tears, very tiny areas of paper loss, creases, and smudges around the edges of the poster; there were some tears in the middle right of the image that were repaired with tape from the back; there are some areas of smudging within the image that look to be printing defects; there are many light horizontal creases throughout the poster. Note that this was one of a group of 24 daybills from the 1920s and 1930s that were found together. All have significant condition defects, but many are quite attractive and some may well be the only (or one of a few) surviving examples! But please read the condition descriptions closely and do not bid on any of these 24 posters unless you can accept their defects or are willing to have them restored!
