Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and separation, small tears, and tiny paper loss on all the foldlines. It had a 5" vertical tear extending into the bottom of Evans' chin and a 1" tear in the left and right of the middle horizontal fold. It had pinholes, tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above.
