An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Frank Capra's State of the Union (released in other English-speaking countries as "The World and His Wife"), the 1948 Frank Capra political romantic comedy ("Love is sweeping the nation!"; "Based on the play by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse"; the often used plot of a neophyte running for President of the United States, and the problems he encounters when he tries to confront the corruption he finds) starring Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn, Van Johnson, Angela Lansbury, Adolphe Menjou, Lewis Stone, Margaret Hamilton, and Irving Bacon NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is a faint vertical scuff at top center that runs into Hepburn's forehead and ending in her eye (this may be a printing defect, as we have seen a similar scuff on other examples of this card). There are tiny dot stains in Tracy's forehead and similar dot stains scattered in the solid blue background around the credits.
