An Original Vintage Linenbacked World War I Poster (measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More)

Join, the circa 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) poster encouraging people to join the American Red Cross, featuring art of the iconic Red Cross logo. We have previously auctioned a very similar poster that has the word "GIVE" where "JOIN" is on this poster. We are not sure if the Red Cross sold memberships at this time, so you could "join" it, or if they just meant it figuratively. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had tiny pinholes in the corners. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed onto a thin linen, and displays well!
