An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Edgar Allan Poe's The Mystery of Marie Roget, the 1942 Phil Rosen Universal Paris France crime horror murder mystery thriller (based on the Edgar Allan Poe story; this was Poe's sequel to "Murders in the Rue Morgue", so naturally, Universal tried to make a sequel to their own version of the earlier movie, and they used some of the actors who had appeared in "The Wolf Man" the previous year; this movie concerns the disappearance of a woman and the subsequent murder; one of the highlights of the movie is Maria Ouspenskaya doing much scene stealing as she had in "The Wolf Man") starring Maria Montez (in the title role as Marie Roget), Patric Knowles, Maria Ouspenskaya, John Litel, Edward Norris, Lloyd Corrigan, and Nell O'Day NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned an example of this poster before! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has small tears at upper right that have been repaired with tape from the back. There are smudges around the edges and there is light fold and border wear.
