An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Scrambled Brains, the 1951 Jules White slapstick comedy short ("Those cut-up kings in their funniest free-for-all fun frolic!"; "A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; Shemp is very sick and having hallucinations, and he thinks that his ugly nurse is beautiful, and they get engaged, but a fight ends that) starring the Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Shemp Howard), Babe London, Emil Sitka, and Vernon Dent NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good. Someone made a long semi-circular cut in the poster starting in to the left of the "T" of "THE" in "THE THREE STOOGES" at middle left, running straight up through Moe's ear and hair, and then curving around through the bottom words of the top tagline, ending at the end of the word "frolic". Someone wrote something on Larry's forehead which was then covered over with two different kinds of paint. There is a vertical tear running down the smaller image of Larry at top right starting in his cheek and running down to his waist, and there is 1 1/2" of thin paper loss to the left of the bottom of that tear. There is a 2" tear at the top left of the same image of Larry, running down into his shoulder. There are many water stains on the large central image of Shemp. There is a 4" tear in the white background above the central large head of Shemp. There is surface paper loss under the "Shemp - Larry - Moe" credit just above the title. There are pinholes in the corners, tears and small areas of paper loss in the top border, and some smudges and faint stains throughout the poster. Someone took brown and white tape and put it on the back of the poster covering most of the above tears. Obviously, this poster has significant problems! However, a talented restorer could surely remove the tape from the back, remove or greatly diminish the stains, and then carefully linenback the poster, mending the remaining defects. After proper restoration, the poster would look great, and the main area requiring paint restoration would be the area in the large central image of Larry (in his forehead). It is likely you would be able to see some evidence of restoration, but the poster would not require a heavy restoration throughout, and where are you going to find this great poster elsewhere?
