Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet (measures 22x28) (Learn More) After the Show, the 1921 William C. de Mille (billed as "William de Mille") silent theater stage acting romantic melodrama ("Adapted from the Saturday Evening Post story 'The Stage Door' by Rita Weiman"; about a poor young chorus girl who gets mixed up with a millionaire backer of the show, and an old washed up actor named "Pop" tries to keep her from getting hurt, and he even slashes his wrists to get her to leave the rich man, but when the rich man gives him a blood transfusion, he realizes he is "OK", and besides, he wants to marry the girl!) starring Charles Ogle, Lila Lee, Jack Holt, Eve Southern, and William Boyd (who, 14 years later, became Hopalong Cassidy, in an uncredited role!). Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this half-sheet came from a collection found in a closed-down movie theater. All of the half-sheets were unfolded, and many have the theater name and play-dates written somewhere on the poster in the blank background (much as a window card has this information), but otherwise they are in surprisingly good condition (some have staining or tears which is always noted on each auction). We have sold ten of these half-sheets in previous weeks, and this week we sell the last of the half-sheets from this find! Condition: good. There are tiny brown stains throughout the poster. There is a curved 8" tear in the upper left in the image background. There is blue writing in the top blank border and in the left of the bottom blank border.
