An Original Vintage Folded German World War I Poster (measures 23 3/4" x 35 1/4") (Learn More)

Spende fur Deutsche Soldatenheime (literally translates to "Donate to German Soldiers' Homes"), the 1917 German World War I (WWI) charity poster encouraging people to donate, and featuring Frick artwork of a woman serving a hot bowl of soup to a thankful soldier. Note that the poster mentions that the chairwomen of the event was Ms. Field Marshal von Hindenburg (the wife of Paul von Hindenburg, the German general and statesman who commanded the German Army during World War I and later became President of Germany).

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The entire poster has darkened somewhat and is fragile. There are tiny tears and some tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Once the poster is linenbacked, it will look great, and only require slight restoration.
