An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 40" [69 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) The Invisible Boy, the 1957 Herman Hoffman science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("The science-monster who would destroy the world!"; "Horror grips the earth as robot runs amok!"; "Screen Play by Cyril Hume"; "Based On The Story By Edmund Cooper") starring Richard Eyer, Philip Abbott, Diane Brewster, Harold Stone, Robert H. Harris, and Robby the Robot (who was so memorable in "Forbidden Planet" the year before). Note that there are those who speculate that one of the main reasons Robby the Robot appears in this movie is because MGM had spent a LOT of money creating him for Forbidden Planet, and they wanted to recoup some of that money by casting him in another film! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare Australian one sheet poster! We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning. Condition: fair. The poster has two large areas of paper loss and at upper center and right. The area of paper loss at upper center extends into a tear that extends into a jagged, approximately 18" series of horizontal tears that have been repaired with tape from the back that slightly bleeds through to the front (see our image). The area of paper loss at right has a portion that has been torn off the poster that will be included with this auction (see our image - it is held in place by a magnet). It has some slight discoloration scattered in some areas from exposure to moisture. Certainly the poster could be restored and linenbacked, but carefully see our super-size image and bear in mind its defects and cost of restoration before placing a bid.
