An Undated (probably 1970s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 13" x 30" [33 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Noel Coward's This Happy Breed (released in the U.S. in 1947), the 1944 David Lean English family relationship between-the-wars melodrama ("The quiet immense courage of one family's life"; "A sweeping panorama of living"; written by Noel Coward; about two couples who move into nice houses in an English suburb after World War I, and about what occurs in their lives between that time and the start of World War II) starring Celia Johnson ("Brief Encounter"), Robert Newton ("Odd Man Out"), John Mills ("Great Expectations"), Kay Walsh ("Brief Encounter"), and Stanley Holloway. Note that to no one's surprise, this movie, which combined the talents of Noel Coward, David Lean, and some of the finest English actors of that time, was superlative, but sadly, it is almost completely forgotten today, except by major film buffs.
