She came along at a perfect time, because Deanna Durbin was outgrowing her adolescent roles at Universal, and Gloria Jean replaced her in the same sorts of movies. She had a lot of popularity throughout the 1940s, but her career wound down in the late 1940s, and she mostly retired to raise a family. Some of her movies include: Never Give a Sucker an Even Break, The Under-Pup, and Mister Big. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 92. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Gloria Jean! Also note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7 3/4" x 9 1/4" [20 x 23 cm]. Note that our consignor purchased this item in a large collection of memorabilia, and he can provide no information about how the autograph was obtained, but we believe it to be genuine.
