Blow by blow..."; "Every woman goes for a Champion"; about the rise and fall of a boxing champion; "From the story by Ring Lardner") starring Kirk Douglas (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; which is perhaps his finest performance!), Marilyn Maxwell, Arthur Kennedy (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Paul Stewart, Ruth Roman, and Lola Albright NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had creases and tears on the foldlines and some creases and tears around the edges of the poster (more so in the right border, extending into the edges of the image. There was one tear in the right border that starts at the upper part of the "N" of "CHAMPION" and then extends diagonally down through the "IR" of "KIRK" and ends next to the "D" of "DOUGLAS". Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above (any restorer likely could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
