An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Nancy Drew, Detective, the 1938 William Clemens mystery crime thriller ("A Nancy Drew adventure"; "Based on the Nancy Drew stories by Carolyn Keene") starring Bonita Granville (in the title role as Nancy Drew), John Litel, James Stephenson, Frankie Thomas, Frank Orth, Dick Purcell, Edward Keane, and Mae Busch. Note that original movie paper of any kind from any of the four Nancy Drew movie adaptations of the late 1930s are EXTREMELY rare! It seems likely that dedicated Nancy Drew collectors located what little material there was in the movie poster hobby in the 1960s and removed it then. One almost never sees even a single lobby card from any of the four movies offered for sale! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: As noted above, any movie paper from this movie is extremely rare. We had never sold any poster from this movie (only a pressbook and a title lobby card), until we were consigned this great excellent scene card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card has darkened, typical of Warner Bros. linen lobby cards of this period. There were tiny tears in the man's shoulder at left (it looks as if someone once pushed their finger through the card), and it was repaired with tape from the back. There is a tiny pinhole in the top center of the image background, and two other pinholes below that to the right, in the red tie of the man in the brown suit, and in the background to the left of his neck. There are scuffs in the upper left border and a diagonal crease in each right blank corner. See our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of this card.
