An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 24" x 33 1/2" [61 x 85 cm]) (Learn More) Ceux Qui Veillent (released in English-speaking countries as "They Who Watch Over Us"), the 1940 Gaston Schoukens Belgian pre-World War II (WWII) military documentary (about the mobilization of the Belgian army in September of 1939) featuring General Tasnier, and Pierre Vandendriesch (as the narrator). Note that sources say that this was released in Belgium on February 22nd, three months before the Belgian army was forced to surrender to Nazi German forces, which is certainly sad and ironic. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that any movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this Belgian movie! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The poster has light fold and border wear and a few minor defects along portions of the blank borders. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well!
