a lot of 11 1980s REPRODUCTION 8x10 photos of Charlie Chan. Charlie Chan is a fictional Chinese-American detective created by Earl Derr Biggers. Over four dozen films featuring Charlie Chan have been made. At first, the character was portrayed by Asian actors but in 1931, Fox cast Swedish actor Warner Oland as Chan. After Oland's death, American actor Sidney Toler was cast as Chan followed by Roland Winters.
