A 1948 Realart Re-Release Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Mummy's Ghost, the 1944 Reginald Le Borg Universal Egypt monster horror thriller sequel ("No chains can hold it! No tomb can seal it!"; "Nameless! Fleshless! Deathless!"; "All new terror!") starring Lon Chaney Jr. (reprising his role "as Kharis, The Mummy"), John Carradine, Ramsay Ames, Barton MacLane, George Zucco, Robert Lowery, Claire Whitney, Frank Reicher, Emmett Vogan, Harry Shannon, and Oscar O'Shea. Note that when Realart re-released all of the classic Universal monster movies starting in the late 1940s, they also re-released this movie, which was one of the very last of the original cycle of monster movies, and that Realart re-release was just four years after the first release! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this 1948 Realart re-release one-sheet, and that was 10 years ago, when it sold for $1,951! Condition: fair to good. The poster had darkened somewhat, primarily in the blank borders and white background. It had pinholes around the edges with some enlarged pinholes where there was paper loss. It had tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds and separation at the crossfolds. Someone put tiny pieces of tape on the back of the pinholes and they put paper tape on the back of the small areas of paper loss and they performed amateur restoration to the front of the paper tape to try to make it less noticeable. There are also small pieces of clear tape on the back of the crossfolds and parts of the folds and borders where there are small tears. Someone once put a mark in the upper lip on the man at lower left and maybe someone else tried to cover that mark. Obviously this rare poster has real defects, but a talented restorer can perform restoration and greatly improve the poster's appearance. But bear all of this in mind and look closely at our image before bidding on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
