A Vinyl Backed Dutch Advertising Poster (measures 35 3/4" x 47 1/2" [91 x 121 cm]) (Learn More) Crematie (literally translates to "Cremation"), the circa 1950s Dutch poster advertising a commercial cremation insurance fund (likely funeral insurance) and featuring art of a flame with two crematoriums on both sides by Zwerver. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Artist: Zwerver Important Added Info: I am not too familiar with Dutch commercial cremation posters, but the choppy translation reads: "cremation association for voluntary deposit insurance fund. Information on membership at the Headquarters of the Association: [address]" Condition: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and scuffs and fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines, and some scuffs scattered in the background. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was mounted on a vinyl type material (not linen) with no excess. Note that at some point after backing, the poster was roughly handled and there are now small creases and tiny tears in parts of the right blank border. This would not show if the poster was framed.
